Change is simple, but it’s never easy.
Feeling this way isn’t what you pictured for yourself when you were younger.
You are working so hard, always doing the right thing, deeply caring about others, and striving to be a good person. But shouldn’t all that lead to feeling confident, empowered, your true self?
There is a disconnect. All this effort, and you still feel stuck. Trapped in your own mind. Trying harder and harder, only to feel less and less like the badass you want to be. Good girls finish last…
Sometimes, we need a new perspective. The willingness to get out of our comfort zone and try something new. Reconnecting with our deepest desires. And accountability. Accountability seals the deal. Therapy can give you all that.
You could continue using Google or Instagram as your guide to a better life… and give up shortly after starting. How many times have you already done this? Or, you can finally admit what you probably already know deep down:
Someone in your corner who can guide you to change will make the process shorter, faster, and far more likely to succeed.
This is what I want for you…
Have you ever had a dream or real-life moment where you felt so fulfilled and happy that your heart was almost bursting?
You know… the kind of feeling that can only come from being comfortable with yourself, treating yourself kindly, believing in yourself, and kicking ass in life?
That’s what I want for you, and you deserve to have the mindset and life that creates that feeling regularly.
Don’t worry: I’ll show you how to get there…
But, first, believe that you can get there.
We will identify your limiting, self-sabotaging beliefs. Erase “I can’t” from your vocabulary. Yes, you can, and you will. Change happens when you believe you can try something new, fail, get up, and fail again – all the way to inevitable success. You will achieve what you set out to do as long as you commit to not giving up on yourself. I will help you with this.
Second, believe that you are worth it.
We will find your why. The REAL reason why you want to change. Not the flashy, social media-approved version. Not the version that your parents or boss created for you. We will use your true values to help guide you to a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment in life. In your moments of doubt, I will be there to nudge you gently forward.
Third, act as if it has already happened for you.
Imagine. Permit yourself to go there. Visualize. The new you. You 2.0. You made it. You feel amazing, confident, proud, live a fulfilling life, and rely on powerful, healthy habits to stay the course. If you had already succeeded, how would you feel, think, act? We will start with changing your behaviors, and the thoughts and feelings will follow.
Therapy can transform you, but that doesn’t have to be scary.
Think of it as learning. Just as you learned to walk or swim or ride a bike, you can also learn to understand yourself, how your brain works, what is and isn’t serving you, and how to achieve your goals.
You see, this is part science and part art form. And while I can geek out with the best of them over the latest research and psych-book insights, I know that the real magic of therapy happens in the art form part: the connection, the vulnerability, and the honesty that are unique to you.
You may feel uncomfortable at first, but, over time, you will value this special time for yourself. You’ll see that the positive changes you’ll make will make you feel empowered and proud.
There will be challenging moments and uncomfortable feelings as we work together, but there will also be humor, laughter, and celebration. Our shared connection will feel warm, supportive, and real.
I will be rooting for you, cheering you on, and celebrating your successes.
In “therapy school,” they tell you not to get too emotionally invested with your clients – to stay objective and distant. I call bullshit on that.
When I see my clients changing their lives, achieving their goals, being kinder to themselves, and having more fun and joy in their lives, I feel giddy with excitement.
Watching you transform your life and becoming your best self is the most rewarding thing I could ever witness!
About Me
Being a therapist is the only career for me.
I majored in business in undergrad and started out working at a fashion company in the corporate world. I HATED IT. I pushed myself to stick it out for almost four years, mostly because of being a perfectionist and wanting to make others around me proud. Plus, it sounded really good to say I worked in fashion. But, in reality, it was rough; I felt depressed and ended up quitting.
I found my way back to psychology, and I’ve never looked back. I got my graduate degree in mental health counseling from Pace University. Since then, I have done post-graduate training in treating anxiety, eating disorders, and infertility.
I wasn’t always a New Yorker…
I was born and raised in Hungary, Europe. I was only supposed to be in New York for school, but then I got a job and got married… you know how it goes.
I am stuck here now.
KIDDING! I love living here, and my background is often helpful for my clients of different cultures or ethnicities.
When I am not helping my clients kick ass and take names…
I chase my toddler around, go on date nights with my husband, and travel. I also practice what I preach (or at least try to!). To be my best self, I need my alone time, moving my body in ways that I enjoy, nature, preferably freezing weather, my fluffy dog, Zuma, on my lap, and a great Netflix show.
If you have made it this far, awesome!
